The Orange County Boudoir Guide

California’s Orange County coast is one of the best travel destinations for long weekend getaways, mini-vacations, and if you’re down for the ultimate retreat, a luxury Orange County boudoir photo shoot! Here’s our ultimate guide for a great trip to South Orange County’s charming beach town, San Clemente.

Where to stay during your trip to Orange County

There are a few ways to go here, but it depends on the style you’re going for! You can stay super close and have a Pier side view at the Beachcomber Inn in San Clemente. It’s walkable to some of the best coffee in town at Bear Coast Coffee and right on top of the 2.2 mile San Clemente Beach Trail. The trail connects through most of San Clemente’s best beaches and one of my favorite spots to do Orange County Beach Boudoir Sessions.

To be even closer to the studio, you can stay at the charming Casablanca Inn. It’s walkable to the studio and also close to the coolest furniture and home goods store in town, SC furniture. Want to be a bit closer to Laguna and Dana Point? Check out Doubletree Dana Point and for the ultimate experience, the Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach.

Where to eat during your trip to Orange County

Most of these recommendations will be super close to the boudoir studio, so if you want to stay within biking or close driving distance, these are for you! My absolutely favorite place for dinner, hands down, is Vine San Clemente.
Make sure you try the ravioli and the craft cocktails! The Polyester Caballero is my personal favorite cocktail. For the best salad, check out http://activeculturecafe.com/ for their “BIG salad”. It’s shareable.
In the mood for some authentic Mexican food? https://www.solagave.com/san-clemente takes it to another level.
Desert? South Swell has hand-dipped ice cream that is to die for! Looking for brunch? Antoine’s is my go-to.

Looking for classic touristy seafood and a view? You’ll want to go to Fisherman’s restaurant ON the pier. Also, if you’re staying at the Beachcomber Inn, you can literally walk back to your room after you’ve had a drink or two. It’s a win-win! My favorite is the fish and chips, crab cocktail, and clam chowder in the bread bowl.

What to do during your stay

Rent a bike and bike the beach trail! Cruise along the coast from San Clemente to Dana Point and check out Wind and Sea restaurant for some awesome Mai Tais and Pina Coladas. The harbor is also a great place to rent stand-up paddleboards and catch the sunset.

Go to the beach, duh… There are numerous beaches for different purposes. Surf in San Clemente, (or learn to surf at Doheny). Want something a bit more pristine and “classic OC” check out Crescent Bay in Laguna Beach. Parking can be super tough, so plan ahead and go early.

Get a facial before your Orange County Boudoir photoshoot. Reach out to Brandy at SkinGlow by Brandy for the BEST facial ever. Also, if you book one of our top collections, you’ll get a free gift card to use with her!

Do some shopping for your shoot! http://lingerieparadisusa.com/ can help you pick out lingerie that will both photograph beautifully and also fit you like a glove. Coming for an orange county beach boudoir session? Check out https://www.thebeachcompanysc.com/ for a large variety of bikini and bathing suit options!

Go to Disneyland! I mean, it’s what sort of puts Orange County on the map! I’d recommend booking your Disney day a day or two after your photoshoot for a couple of reasons. First, despite how much you try, you could get sunburned and a bit dehydrated, also you’ll be super tired the next day. None of those things work super well for a boudoir shoot. Also, you’ll likely eat things that may or may not make you feel 100%. So, my recommendation would be to save it for the day after your shoot (or a day later). It’s the best of both worlds. Have an amazing shoot and ride that high and then enjoy the happiest place on earth and go wild!

Where to have the best Orange County Boudoir Photo Shoot Experience

Of course, I’m biased, but my boudoir studio was recently rated at the top of Orange County’s best boudoir photographers! I truly want to make sure every client has the boudoir photoshoot experience of their dreams. From guided shopping, to full posing guidance, customized photoshoots, the BEST makeup and hair stylists, and the highest quality albums, folio boxes, and wall art can be found here and customized to you and your preference. I absolutely love what I do and LOVE helping women see how beautiful, sensual, and powerful they are. It’s not all about over-the-top cheesy posing here. I strive to capture the most beautiful images you’ve ever seen of yourself. For this reason, your shoot could take an hour, or it could take up to two. Every woman has her own timing for connecting with that side of herself. There’s no rush and no cookie-cutter posing routine. The creative process for creating these images will be just as much you as it is me.

So if you’re thinking about making a trip out to Orange County for a little R&R, a girls weekend, or maybe a low-key bachelorette party, think about combining it with an amazing orange county boudoir photoshoot with us!
